Terms of Service

The simple rules for using Spokly.

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms apply when you use Spokly at spokly.net (the "Service"). Spokly is run by an independent developer based in Egypt ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. The free tools

The free tools (audio and video to text, voice typing, the subtitle maker and file translation in Chrome) run in your browser, need no account and are free. They are provided "as is" and "as available". Automatic transcription and translation can contain mistakes, so check the results before you publish or rely on them. We may change, improve or stop a free tool at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to:

You're responsible for what you do with the results, including any subtitles, transcripts or translations you publish.

4. Limits

To keep the Service fast and free for everyone, these limits apply:

We may change these limits to protect the Service. The current limits are always on the tool itself and in Help.

5. Your content

Your files and the results you make with Spokly belong to you. We don't claim any rights to them. The free tools process your files on your own device, so we never receive them. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we do handle.

6. Ads and other services

The Service shows ads from Google AdSense. Some tools use features built into your browser, such as speech recognition and Chrome's translator, and their makers' terms apply to those features. Links to other websites are for your convenience; we aren't responsible for their content.

Paid plans, accounts and AI tools aren't available yet. The terms in this section will apply when paid plans launch.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will always be available or free of errors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business, that result from using or not being able to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

10. Suspension

We may block or suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms or harms the Service or other people.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is important, we'll say so on the site. Using the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Contact
