How to type with your voice
- Choose your language. The browser listens for the language you pick, including Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine and other kinds of Arabic.
- Press the round button. The first time, your browser asks to use the microphone. Choose Allow.
- Speak. Words appear as you talk; the last few may change as the browser becomes more sure. Press the button again to stop.
- Edit the text in the box, then Copy it or Download TXT.
Voice typing or a recording?
Voice typing is for words you're saying now. If you already have a recording, such as a voice note, a meeting or a video, use audio and video to text instead: it reads the file directly, on your device. For captions with timings, make a subtitle file.
Tips for better results
- Speak in full sentences at a normal pace, close to the microphone.
- Add punctuation while you edit. Browsers often leave out commas and full stops, or guess them.
- Use a quiet room. Background talk and music lead to more mistakes.

Privacy
Voice typing uses your browser's own speech recognition. In Chrome, Edge and Safari, the speech is usually processed by Google, Microsoft or Apple. Spokly doesn't receive your audio, and your text stays in this page until you copy or download it.
